Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
DramaPing is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no logins, no ads, and no tracking across other apps or websites. This policy explains what little we do collect and why.
1. What we collect
- Stable device key. A randomly generated UUID stored in the iOS Keychain. It is used as the stable identifier for your DramaPing data and is sent to our backend so your follows, watchlist, notification preferences, and Pro status can stay associated with the same installation. It is not your name, email, phone number, Apple ID, or payment information. The Keychain value is designed to migrate through encrypted device transfers such as Quick Start or an encrypted backup.
- Push notification token. An Apple-issued device token used as the current delivery address for notifications. It can change when the device or APNs environment changes; it is not the stable key for your DramaPing data.
- Your in-app activity. The artists you follow, the shows in your watchlist and library, your notification preferences, your Pro status, and the app version. This is stored with your stable device key so your data syncs and your notifications work.
- Website contact details. If you contact us through dramaping.com, your name, email address, and message are used solely to respond to your request.
We do not collect your name, location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any advertising identifiers. We do not use analytics SDKs.
2. How we use it
To deliver the Service: sending you the notifications you signed up for, syncing your follows and watchlist, and enforcing free-tier limits. That's all. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
3. Where it lives
- Supabase hosts our database and backend functions. Your stable device key, current push token, and in-app activity are stored there.
- Apple delivers push notifications and processes all purchases. We never see your payment details.
- TMDB supplies show and artist metadata and images. Images load directly from TMDB's servers, which receive standard web request data (such as your IP address) when they serve images. SeeTMDB's privacy policy.
- FormSubmit relays contact-form submissions from the website to our support inbox.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only an anonymous confirmation that your device is entitled to Pro — never your payment information or identity.
5. Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your device is registered for notifications. To delete it, send us a request through our contact form and include the details. We will delete the device record and associated follows, library, notification settings, and Pro entitlement record. Inactive device records and tokens are also periodically purged. Because the stable device key is stored in the Keychain, it may continue to associate data after a reinstall if the Keychain is restored; a deletion request is the reliable way to remove the server-side record.
6. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Given our minimal collection, the practical answer to most requests is deletion, which we honor as described above. Contact us and we'll help.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this site.
